Ngwenya has deservedly won the 'Resort of The Year' award more than once. It is exceptionally beautiful, ideally located, and the staff - from the entry gate to the housekeepers - are all incredibly friendly.

Not even one negative thing to mention. It's absolutely excellent in every aspect. We had wonderful weather while we were there. Beautiful, clean, and very well-equipped accommodation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the braai and bingo night. We enjoyed the viewpoints and saw quite a few different animals. Never a dull moment while being there. Highly recommended it! We're looking forward to the next visit.

Ngwenya is my home away from home. I have visited Ngwenya five times already and will return each year. The Resort is well-positioned and close to the Crocodile Bridge Gate of the Kruger National Park. The views from the Restaurant and viewing hides are spectacular. I can recommend it to anyone. The specials from the Restaurant are amazing and as a couple, we can't even cook for that price. The Restaurant menu has been expanded and offers a great selection of foods.

Beautiful place to stay for a few days. The pools are clean, the putt-putt is challenging, and they gave fantastic staff. The views of the river are great and you get to see some wildlife! We spotted lions, elephants, hippos, rhinos, giraffes, and fish eagles from our deck. Highly recommended!

Oh wow! What a superb Resort Ngwenya Lodge is. If you are a nature lover, then this is, no doubt, the place to visit. We purchased our first timeshare week almost 20 years ago. We now own four weeks a year. I will never get tired of this Resort. From the birds to the wild game over the river, the activities to the beautiful gardens, it is simply the best!

If you going to the Kruger National Park, look no further for accommodation! Ngwenya Lodge is stunning. The accommodation is perfect. The staff from the security guards at the entrance to the cleaning and reception staff are all super friendly and so helpful. I couldn't find a fault here and will definitely be going back for all my future visits to that area.

Great resort, just outside the Kruger National Park. Our porch looked out onto the river and we watched the animals come to drink. There is a lot to do to keep you busy if you are not going into the Park, and the staff is friendly.

We had a lovely holiday at Ngwenya. The staff was friendly and the Resort was clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to spot lions, elephants, hippos, and crocodiles from the comfort of our chalet. The ladies at the spa were friendly and the treatment was good value for money.

On holiday for 7 days. The chalet had views over the Crocodile River. Witnessed hippos, elephants, waterbuck, warthogs, lions, many bird species, and we were visited by a Nile monitor. The entrance to Kruger National Park is only 9km from Ngwenya which is convenient.

What a splendid Resort on the Crocodile River with spectacular views. We had elephants come right up to the fence where we were sitting on our veranda having sundowners. Great restaurant. Loved the golf course in Komatipoort - very good condition!! Cosy atmosphere.

If I could give more of a ten-star rating I would. Property well-kept and maintained, secure, and safety excellent. Views are breathless, maintenance and cleaning excellent; really a place where you feel on holiday welcomed and a place for resting and enjoying. A lot to do and kids can have fun with parents having peace of mind. All the staff are so friendly. My favourite staff member is the security guard, Thabo; what a sweetheart! Greets one with so much welcome, makes us smile in and out the main gate, he is full of happiness and energy, and makes one start of your day smiling. He loves his job and loves people; he is the best. My new best holiday destination, I will be back every year from now on.

I am losing count of the times that we have stayed at Ngwenya, to sit on a deck overlooking the KNPBPOE and watch the elephants playing in the river along with the rest of the game is always a pleasure. The nearness of the park for day trips is also fantastic.

The staff are all so well-mannered and friendly, especially the security guards at the gate and the waiters at the restaurant. They made our holiday wonderful. The spa is also amazing; the therapists are professional and know what they're doing.

Comfortable and well-maintained Resort and being able to see into the Kruger Park from the deck is fantastic. Access to the park itself is quick and easy, but staying in at the Resort provides lots of entertainment.

There's nothing I can fault about Ngwenya. The staff, location, amenities, pools, gardens, views... it's all perfect. The rooms are always sparkling and well stocked. And being just a few kilometres from Crocodile Bridge Entrance to Kruger is lovely.

Beautiful Lodge! The gardens are spectacular and the views are breath-taking. Great restaurant setting!! Service is great and the overall experience was absolutely amazing. There is a lot to do in and around the Lodge. We saw elephants from the Restaurant deck and many other animals from our Chalet. We would highly recommend and will most definitely return.

Ngwenya Lodge is a dream holiday destination with comfortable accommodation and well-equipped amenities on the banks of the Crocodile River. Facilities include a restaurant, shop, convenience store and spa; as well as children's' play areas, swimming pools, tennis courts, dams for fishing and a 18-hole putt-putt course. View a variety of game on the banks of the river or drive to the Kruger National Park a short distance away.

We have been going to Ngwenya Lodge for a number of years and we will definitely continue to do so. The lodge itself is stunning, with beautiful gardens and fantastic views into the Kruger Park. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything that you need for a self-catering stay. We also love having drinks and meals at the restaurant - the atmosphere is lovely and there are always animals to watch from the deck. The staff are all very friendly, helpful, and professional. This is one of my favourite holiday destinations.

Cannot get any better for the amount you pay. Have been to Ngwenya many times and it just seems to get better and better every time. Grounds are always clean, rooms are spotless and smell amazing when you walk in, staff are friendly and very helpful. If you haven't been, do yourself a favour and go, you will not want to leave.

We are very fortunate to have visited the Lodge a few times. There are amazing views of the Crocodile River in the Kruger Park from all the hides, as well as the Restaurant. We were fortunate to have a River-View Unit that allowed for game-viewing from the comfort of the patio. We saw many animals from the patio including elephant, waterbuck, crocodiles, warthogs, fish eagles, etc. The Lodge is well situated and not far from the Crocodile Bridge Gate in the Kruger Park. The Lodge is also well-equipped for our needs. We will definitely return soon. Highly recommend this Lodge again.

We had an amazing time here and enjoyed the facilities! The boys loved the little ponds and the swimming pools especially. The hides overlooking the Crocodile river within the facility were awesome. We saw a lot of different animals that came down to the river.

Ngwenya is a home in the bush. Friendly, efficient staff. My parents have been timeshare owners for about 29 years and they went every year without fail. It was my mother’s happy place and now it is mine. Game-viewing from our river chalet. Would recommend Ngwenya to anybody.

I was fortunate to have a second trip to Ngwenya Lodge. Our river facing unit was right on the border of the crocodile river and allowed for prime game viewing from the comfort of one’s patio. We saw buffalo, elephant, kudu, nyala, crocodile, hippo, long horned fellows and many a bird species. It is always amazing and the view, the location and resort is superb.

Warm welcome and an outstanding lodge that is well maintained with friendly staff and everything in easy walking distance. A joy for children to visit and wonderful birds for the parents to identify. Our unit was an excellent air conditioned, pond front unit, ideal for bird watching. Clean, well maintained apartments. On our visit to the Kruger Park we saw five cheetahs. The restaurant and deck area, overlooking the Crocodile River and the game reserve, is excellent for dinner and beautiful sun sets. The lodge and the surrounding gardens are very well maintained. Overall a wonderful experience.

My Wife and I spent a pleasant and enjoyable week in Chalet 98 at Ngwenya Lodge. We had a great view of the river and we were very spoilt with stunning sightings of various bucks, baboons, various birds, bats, a large herd of around 100 Elephants, buffaloes and lots of Hippos activities.

Our unit was a river front unit which is the best. Our grandson was with us for the first time and what a joy were all the things to do to keep him busy when not in the Kruger. The accommodation is great and from our veranda we had some great sightings especially in the late afternoons. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was just as great.

This accommodation is very clean, well equipped and located on a great spot. Reception and services were excellent. Viewing the animals from the viewing desks was great. The numerous dams surrounding the lodge’s makes you feel like you are living in nature and it was a great experience. I will definitely return to this lodge

Always enjoy Ngwenya, loved the social bring and braai. Great viewing deck over the river and good restaurant facilities, close to the Kruger.Lots of birdlife around the dams. Awesome place for kids as there is a lot to keep them entertained.

Highly recommended. The Kruger Park is within easy reach - just a few minutes away. This was my first visit to the resort but will most definately return in the future. The unit we stayed in was very well kept and the service was great. The restaurant offered good food and the view from there is great.

We had a lovely vacation at Ngwenya. The property is well maintained, well equipped and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed spending time at the bird hide and the view from there is spectacular. We'll be back!

Spent a weekend away at this place and what a wonderful experience! All the attractions like the Kruger National Park are close by and the place itself has a lot on offer. The accommodation was comfortable and had most of your creature comforts. You don't even have to leave the lodge to see all the wildlife. In my opinion definitely worth it!

We stayed for a week with the most stunning view over the Crocodile river into the Kruger park. You can stay the whole day on your stoep and have the wildlife and incredible diverse birds come to you. If you want to go for a swim or sport activity everything is well maintained with friendly staff

Having lost count of how many times I have been to Ngwenya, I'm still in awe of the location (river facing unit); love the sunrise/sunsets over the crocodile river! Units are clean well maintained. Enjoying a BBQ, and watching some of the big game coming onto the river for a drink... plain awesome!!

Great view of crocodile river while enjoying a cocktail and pizza on the deck. They have different theme nights, and is a good idea to book. Went a few times for pizza snacks and cocktails in the afternoons and dinner one night. Very friendly staff.

What a lovely dinner this turned out to be. The food was excellent, service was great and overall a great experience. Management was very flexible when we asked for a few extras and they get 5 stars for that. Chicken kebabs, pork belly and the Greek salad were prepared excellently. The food really compares very well to many a gourmet restaurants dishes. Thank you very much Riaan and management, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Was the most revitalising trip ever especially how stunning the scenery was. Our cabin was right by the hide which made it even more stunning. The most amazing thing is that it's directly opposite the Kruger National Park.

The perfect Resort to book for a Kruger Park visit. We stayed here for seven days in a beautifully two bedroom self-catering unit, with pond view. The Resort offers many pools, tennis courts, mini golf and game viewing hides with lovely walkways. Only 15 minutes away from Crocodile Bridge Gate of the KNP; well worth a visit and stay. We come here every year and have never been disappointed. Room Tip: Pond View Cottages are great, but river view is super for game viewing.

This is our third visit and still an awesome place. Excellent service and stunning facilities. Restaurant with viewing deck serves the best pizza and breakfasts. Units are well-equipped and clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the wife loves the Spa. Excellent views into the Kruger National Park from the viewpoints. A short drive and you in the Kruger National Park.

Breath-taking river views from HB 01, located so close to the river, you can hear the rapids. Wildlife at your doorstep. Well-appointed unit, spacious, clean and comfortable. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with washing machine and dryer. This Resort just never fails to entertain both children and adults. Friendly and courteous staff. We will always return!

This place is a wonderful place to stay. Good and friendly reception. This was our fifth visit to the Lodge. Accommodation excellent. Nice walkways between the houses and next to the River good hideaways to watch the animals and birds. The gardens are beautiful and swimming pools are sparkling and inviting. A place to be when you want to relax from all your troubles and work stress.

The self-catering chalet we stayed in overlooks the River and sleeps Eight – three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en suite; kitchen, dining, lounge and covered patio with braai. Cleaning service every day except Sunday, but you can pay extra if you require that as well. The rooms are all air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. There are a few swimming pools on the grounds, with a shop for essentials, laundry if you need, children's room, games, putt-putt, trampolines, and even tennis courts. The [Le Fera] Restaurant and Bar are overlooking the River, if you feel the need not to cook. The highlight of the position being on the River is that the Kruger Park starts at the edge of our balcony, so wild life can be directly under where you are standing. Looking over the River we often saw Elephant, lots of Buck and even Rhino, a vast assortment of bird life as well. It is about 8km to the Crocodile Bridge Entrance into the Kruger Park, so up and off early into the Park is a must. This year we were very lucky in the Park as we actually saw all of the Big Five and much more. The highlight of the trip being a Cheetah and her cubs and the rarest sighting of all was a Honey Badger. If you get the opportunity to go, then I would highly recommend this as a destination. Room Tip: Try and get a chalet on the river.

This is a place for everyone... let me start with the arrival, the Reception area is neat and on our arrival there were welcome drinks and refreshments for the kids as well. The unit we stayed in was Unit 443 and what a beautiful and clean place. Our person who cleaned our unit was helpful and friendly her name is Anna (Not Anna Mgomezulu) what a friendly person. The Lodge itself is a place for adults and kids; my two daughters enjoyed themselves to the fullest every day at the Games Room and at the five pools that the Lodge has. We were close to one of the many viewing decks and had a relaxing time there seeing all kinds of animals on the banks of the Crocodile River. Seeing into the Kruger was delightful. Enjoyed waking up every day to the sounds of birds of all kinds. Birdlife abundant. Thanks again to the Ngwenya Staff and Anna for making our stay beautiful. Room Tip: Look for the River facing Units.

We visited Ngwenya Lodge for a week. Our unit was well equipped, clean, serviced daily, air-conditioned and so beautifully appointed on the Crocodile River. Access to Kruger National Park was an easy 15 minute drive. When not viewing game we enjoyed walks around the lodge, swimming and viewing game and birds from three hides on the River. Our last meal in their Restaurant was delicious. We will return! Room Tip: River frontage is lovely but units facing ponds are also good.

We visit once or twice a year and love it there. The position of the Lodge and easy access to the Crocodile River Gate is awesome, even just chilling at the Lodge itself … sitting in the hides etc. is so much fun.

We had the most amazing view of the Kruger Park and a 180 degrees of the Crocodile River, hippo, crocodile, elephant, rhino, waterbuck and the most amazing collection of birds all day long. Clean resort, efficient Reception, helpful staff to offload our supplies and provide daily cleaning service. Acceptable restaurant and other amenities. What a fantastic way to relax and recharge for the new year! I will definitely return to this paradise in the bushveld. Room Tip: Upper level facing the river is where I will book again .

I've been [to Ngwenya Lodge] several times and will say that management really knows what they are doing. The service is great, it's clean and there are lots of things for the kids to do. Just make sure you book a room on the river. The first time we visited we had a room overlooking the Crocodile River and when we went outside on the patio there were 3 lions lying in the river bed. Pretty awesome!
